The latest update brings Audulus up to date with PC High Sierra and once again demonstrates the ongoing support for the app. Audulus LLC has announced the latest and most significant update to Audulus 3 yet. Truely the Minecraft of music making! With a vibrant user community and outstanding support, Audulus is a great way to explore all aspects of digital music creation. With each new update the product continues to improve, with more undoubtly on the way. This allows Audulus to easily interact with traditional modular rack synthesizers as well as a wide variety of digital audio interfaces. The latest 3.4 update adds significant new functionality including the new ADC and DAC nodes which enable Audulus to be connected to a wide variety of multichannel digital audio interfaces including the Expert Sleepers ES-8 USB interface.
Audulus 3 pro tools software#
Audulus is a minimalist modular software synthesizer and effects processor. Mac & iOS versions of Audulus 3 were already available. With a clean, minimalist user interface design, a huge variety of nodes, factory supplied prebulit modules, and outstanding performance it is one of the best. Developer Taylor Holliday let us know that his software modular synthesizer, Audulus, has been updated to version 3.1, and it’s now available for both Linux and Windows. I've had Audulus since early 2013 and it should be considered "Legendary" in the iOS synth world.Without a doubt Audulus continues to be the preeminent soft modular synthesizer available for either the PC or iOS platform. Without a doubt, the best tool to learn and build synthesis engines. It certainly isn't your run-of-the-mill canned synthesizer (you must do a little work to make it go "beep"), but once you've learned some of the basics, the capability depth is unlimited. Audulus is well supported (check out the forum discussions, tutorials, and recorded live streams) and the developers and user-community are more than happy to answer any questions. Looking forward to seeing the Midi overhaul in another (hopefully soon) update as well as an updated Windows version supporting the SVG icons! You won't be disappointed.Update () - This latest update (V3.5) significantly improves the usability of the patch library taking advantage of the new iOS 11 Files browser.Update () - Another sweet update (v3.5.1) and the module library keeps getting better! Love the embedded documentation in the modules. It’s a lot like Max, or Pure Data for the PC. Very Powerful.I wish it continued to get updates. For example, when I first started using it I got frustrated when trying to connect units that were far apart. For me on Iphone 8, as I drag the cable outwards it starts the lasso selector and the viewport continually grows until I lift my finger. This is chaos and probably not intentional, could be a bug with my device, or couble be something that wasn’t properly implemented for somewhat reason. Nowadays I just quickly bring units near each other to connect. If I need to connect many things to one unit i take it along with me as i connect each one.

The functions for Slicr, Beatmaker 3, IMPC Pro 2, imaschine, Groove Rider, Beathawk, Reslice, Sampler, Samplebot, Loop. Samplist appears fun, but there is no Zoom in function to clean up samples. This ends up being suprisingly quick, so this hasn’t been a huge issue for me still worth mentioning though. But I really love this app. Blocs wave, launchpad, and koala have been the easiest and most fun apps to use on the ipad.

Wish I could get more out of it: like a touch unit with a rectangle that gives x y coordinates of your touch and maybe pressure ifsupported (3d touch, stylus, etc). That would really add some power into this.

If you have every been interested in modular synthesis or electronic music creation, Audulus is the app for you. Far more than a “soft” synth, Audulus offers a rich visual programming environment for sound creation and manipulation.

With a large selection of fundamental building blocks and a wide variety of prebuilt modules including example patches and full synths, Audulus allows you to create almost anything you can imagine. With multichannel IO support, MIDI, IAA and Audiobus compatibility, it can interoperate with other iOS music apps and with a suitable interface can also connect to more traditional hardware synthesizers. It’s available for iOS, macOS and Windows and patches can be shared between platforms.

The 3.5 release features a new patch browser integrated with the iOS 11 Files app for simple patch management and sharing. The app has an active user forum where users can share ideas, patches, and assistance and there are several very good tutorials available on the forum to help get you started. It is beautiful, intriguing, complex and challenging.
